On Tuesday, April 8, 2026, the English Olympiad for the 7th grade took place at the Wasser-Turm-Mühle (Water Tower Mill). Fifteen students took part in the competition. They came to show their English skills and to try their best in different challenges like creative writing and expressive reading.

The Olympiad was organized by Ms. Steinmetz and Ms. Hetsch. The students had to think carefully and work hard to solve all the tasks.

Some helpers were also there to support the event. Luisa Gurr, Leni Golk, Ela Top, and Nele Packhäuser (10.1) helped the teachers and the students during the Olympiad. They made sure that everything worked well and that the students had what they needed. Furthermore, they were in the jury too.

At the end of the competition, the winners were announced. Huong Tengler got third place with 72 points. Hope Ezeh came in second place with 74 points. The first place went to Mailing Tran, who had the highest score, reached 75 points.

In the end, every participant received a small reward: a sweet treat and a pen. It was a nice experience for everyone, and the students could be proud of their work. The English Olympiad was a fun way to practice English and try something new.
